Newtons future looks bright at running back

Newton's sophmore running back Stephan Ethridge had 8 carries for 172 yards and two td's in his debut on varsity. He showed an explosive style of running that should eventually earn him a job at starter.

Yea Newtons defense looked good also giving up a total of 106 yards rushing and 30 yards passing. Not to mention the eagles defense came up with 6 turnovers.

Stiffon Ethridge is a name that everyone will be hearing for a while, and we are lucky to have him in Newton. I have always enjoyed growing up playing with him, and I am ready to play with him again. He had a great game and will have an even better season! Watch out Jasper!

Stiffon is a great player and a hard runner and also keeps his mind on his books.Our back field is going to be a big part in Another Winning Tradition.A real team has good players and Mature ones also.
