Thoughts?

Somewhere in Lubbock...WR Adam James just cringed & trembled.

He's back!

I imagine we are all inerested to see how this goes.

I don't necessarily want him to coach my team, but he is interesting and entertaining. Not a bad offensive minded coach either by the way.

True.

A couple weeks back there were small rumors that he was a *person of interest* for the Hurricanes (once the HC position was vacated)...I would have loved to have seen that. One part - Leach Offense, Mixed with Miami Hurricane Talent...goodness.

But I am interested to see what he does at Wash St.

Hahahahaha! No joke...every Wash St. RB with head down, kicking rocks on campus...while the shortest Wash St. WR just called home & asked his parents over the phone, "Guess who's the next Wesssss Welker?!"

Problem with that rumor was the Canes job was never even close to be open. They resigned their coach to a monster deal

It's about time! I sense there is a lot of excitement up in Pullman today.

Hahaha... You just THOUGHT Lubbock was a hard place to recruit to!

He'll have success with mostly second tier recruits, just like in Lubbock, but he'll be smart enough to
get out of there while the getting is good... or he'll simply implode! I don't see a 'middle' ground.

Good news to hear, I will have to keep up with them now. Just like any other coach and program it will take time.
Say what you want about Leach, but he is one hell of a coach. If you ever get a chance to read his story that was in the Texas monthly magazine a few years ago BEFORE the scandal at Tech you will change your mind about him. He simply loves football enough to give up his career as a lawyer to pursue coaching. Wished I could find that post on the old 3A board where somebody on here proclaimed that he will never coach again. LOL....sweet.

Twitter usage in that area will be taking a huge nosedive in activity. I hope none of the players have fat little girlfriends. ;)

Actually a very good hire for Wash. State, considering their competition and lack for getting top players. Offensively, Wash. State has always been the passing school, so this makes for a good fit. And with his Texas connections, you'll see some high school recruits saying yes to recruiting trips there. It's the rest of the Pac 12 schools that better look out. I smell some upsets next year already.

if you guys have read the mike leach book it will make you respect him even more as a coach. Also after reading the book and knowing how he thinks this is exactly like how he started out as coaching with teams like this. He will take this team and i wouldnt be surprised if he has this team recognized nationally in offensive categories in his tenure at some point.

Had Leach stayed, they wouldn't be 5-7. What's more important?

Not sure how many Washington State football games will be shown here in Florida, but I will make it a point to watch. I find Leache's approach to offense very entertaining. I think he is too good a coach to be sidlined if he still has a passion for the job.

Which is exaclty why I say Leach's firing went outside of Tech.
I still think there were powers outside of Tech that was threatened by Leach's present that got him fired.
And no I'm not talking about you Lions.

I think it all came down to the extension signed year before,,TT NEVER wanted to do it for that much and I think the moment the ink dried they were looking for any and everything to get rid of him with cause if possible and this little event turned into a witch hunt

Why would a team not not want to pay possibly the best coach they ever had what he is worth?
Just don't make any sense.

True.
Of course Meyers doesn't own TT and has long since retired.
I still say there were outside influences, and I'm not talking about Craig James. I'll leave it at that.

a great year by HIS pitiful standards.....below mediocre by Div1A stds in a passing offense.....and now he gets to go wash daddy's cars for a livin and fold his clothes to be packed for his roadtrips...good riddance to the no talent nobody

Adam James doesn't have the talent to start for most Big 12 schools which is a sad comment on the state of TT football. I'll never understand how they beat OU.
