saturday, 3pm @ midlothian

if you are interested in going to this game, pre sale tickets will be available at schools starting tomorrow for $8 adult/$5 student...
only pre sale tickets will be guaranteed a bleacher seat at the game - stephenville is the home side, which holds 4,500 of the 8,000 seats...

if you have a pre sale ticket, gates open at 1pm, if you don't have one, you can't buy them at the gate until 2pm for $10, and then they are only good for standing room only or sitting in the grass areas in the corners...

maybe the stadium is too small? bad weather could keep casual observers and fair weather fans away...

It does have pretty decent 'Standing Room', to be fair...

I didn't care for this stadium. About the only positive was that it didn't have a track. GO ALEDO!

Probably better then 99% of the stadiums out there. Instead of having to stand at ground level in the endzone you are elevated

How do you not like the greatest stadium under 10,000 seats ever made?

Plenty of room for everyone. Very nice facilities and lots of general use areas for overflow. Just get here early or buy pre-sale tickets.

Stephenville's going to have to hold the #1 ranked running back in the nation Saturday... I think they have the D to do it... and not to mention with the aid of mother nature. Colder wetter conditions limits the passing game for both a little allowing more focus on stopping the run. Can't wait to listen to this one.

They did it once already.

This year they didn't hold Gray. He had 200+ yrds on the Jackets in week 0. But so did Edwards. Last year and the year before they held him to under 100 yds each game. But still couldn't win. Sville's O is better than last years and even at the beginning of the year. But I think they have to win the TO ratio to win this week. Sville is a more well rounded team now than they were at the start.

it is kind of funny when folks say the only way to beat aledo is to stop jonathan gray - the previous 4 matchups, the held him in check (as far as jonathan gray numbers are concerned) but lost - and then in week 0 he went crazy (250yds +/-, and 3 or 4 tds) but somehow stephenville managed to beat them...

i think that if that game was a playoff game, aledo wouldn't have gone for 2, but taken the 1 and tied the game...

should be a good game saturday, hopefully the weather doesn't play a big factor...

just for comparison...

aledo's opponents this year were a combined 89-57 (playoff opponents 27-9)
2 of their opponents are still playing - stephenville and lake travis
2 out of 3 non district opponents made the playoffs - 4a stephenville and 4a lake travis

stephenville's opponents this year were a combined 86-65 (playoff opponents 22-13)
2 of their opponents are still playing - aledo and waco midway
all 5 of their non district opponents made the playoffs - 4a aledo, 3a abilene wylie, 3a brownwood, 5a lewisville hebron, and 5a mesquite horn

1st 5 games - points given up per game
stephenville 18.2
aledo 31

2nd 5 games - points given up per game
stephenville 28.2
aledo 19.2

playoff games - points given up per game
stephenville 22.3
aledo 15.6

i think they only have one common opponent, other than each other - and that is trophy club byron nelson
stephenville beat them in the 2nd round 48-14
aledo beat them in week 6 50-7
