Everman (31-6) Region I Champions
The consensus number one team all year in Class 3A, the Bulldogs play an aggressive free wheeling style of basketball, their depth (Everman goes 11 deep) allows them to be more aggressive than most because foul trouble doesn't bother them, they will pressure you 94 feet in either a full court man to man or a full court press. Bobby Joshua a 6-6 post is Everman's main threat to score down low along with Johnathan Harrell who is 6-3 and can jump out of the gym, Casey Forge a 6'3 wing is an inside outside threat, however anyone of Everman's 11 guys can hurt you.

Tatum (29-6) Region II Champions
Long known around East Texas as a team with great guards, the Eagles have found an inside game and thus found themselves a trip to Austin. After winning a brutal 16-3A the Eagles won 3 close playoff ball games over Crandall, Van and Lindale to advance to Austin. Jayme Bradley is ultra quick at the point and can shoot the three or put it on the floor, Michael Borders a 6-4 post and Marcus Hill give Tatum the balance on offense and the rebounding they have lacked for so long. Coach Brett Carr in his first year at Tatum leads the Eagles to their first ever trip to Austin.

Hempstead (29-7)Region III Champions
Can anyone slow down Tyrone Nelson who threw up 39 against Mexia in the regional semi-final and quadruple double against Kountze in the regional quarter-final round against Hardin-Jefferson Nelson "only" had 24...darn, but Nelson isn't Hempstead's only weapon, Hempstead has a bevy of good guards led by Eric Sonnier...however Nelson may be 3A's most dominant force as I have yet to see anyone able to slow him down. Could we see a rematch of last year's Region IV title game won by Aransas Pass?

Aransas Pass (29-7) Region IV Champions
Aransas Pass is the only repeat member of the field as they lost to Gainesville last year in the state semi-finals, they only lost one player from last year's squad. Tommy Blake leads the Panthers who have great size down low but also great experience, Blake isn't AP's only weapon, Chris Clark and Chris Hayes also are capable of filling it up..
