The announcers on the webcast went nuts, you couldn't hear the play by play so you knew it had to be a blocked field goal or a miss.

What a great game, Argyle was the better team tonight. My Dawgs played their butts off, no excuses, just got beat. The only thing that bothers me is how in the heck can you be cofused on what play to run when you had just called a dang time out. I am so pleased with with how both teams played, one heck of a game. The Aggyle Q/B was the difference in the game. The Argyle linebacker also did a great job. It only will get a lot tuffer next week. Gilmer is the real deal, those boys can score a lot of points. If Argyle can keep the score down low, they have a chance. If it is a shoot out, Argyle will loose. God Bless and great win over my Dawgs. If Carthage can go home and use this game as a building block, those 9 sophmores and Juniors(Dawgs only loose 5 seniors) will be in the hunt again and should be the team to beat next year.

Argyle made mistakes tonite to make this game a classic. They cannot afford those errors next week against Gilmer. I hope the boyz will take this game and build on it for a playoff run to state. We have been and will continue to be tested each week as far as we can go. This region 2 is absolutely talented. What can you say about Carthage, though. My hat is off to them for what they have been able to accomplish, esp. this year. The next 2 years for them looks bright. All I can say is we stuck to the gameplan, won the 2nd half, and earned the win.

Congrats to the Argyle Eagles for beating the Carthage Bulldogs! It was a war, and a classic, as much as we all expected. Great season to the Bulldogs, think you proved your strengths this year!

That was pretty tough. The announcer said Carthage called time out to consider whether to go for the win or kick the extra point. The team lined up as if to go for two and they only had 10 men on the field. The eleventh man came running out but not in time and they were assesed a 5 yard delay of game penalty. Then they decided to kick the extra point. Lined up, kicked and it hit the left upright and bounced away. Argyle won by one point. Tough.
