Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 74. North northwest wind 5 to 8 mph increasing to between 21 and 24 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 41. Breezy, with a north wind between 16 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Now, this is HS Football weather,gotta luv it.....:2thumbsup

LOL, It doesn't matter to the Warhorses, they would run the ball no matter the weather.

looks like thunderstorms at around 6 pm with gust winds 38-42 mph and game time teimperature of 63 from accuweather.

Don't know much if Wharton passes more than they run the ball...This weather factor would benefit Devine since they run 99% of the time...

George is fast. In HS he was not only a football and baseball star (as in college) but also a track star.

Curious, what direction does the field at Pirate Stadium run? E2W or N2S? Could be a major factor in this game, with a 30+ MPH north wind blowing.

Really looking forward to seeing this game and Mr. Sadler break a long standing (since 1953) Texas High School Record, most points scored in a season. Hope to visit with several 3ADL'ers at the M&G too?

Devine kicker made couple from 50 yds and once from 54 yds in warm ups. Wharton just coming onto the field for theirv warm up
