Decided to do a BBQ today and here is what I have to start with.

Pretty nice half-time snack going on there! Save the mesquite for the last hour and you get the full flavor!

Pretty nice half-time snack going on there! Save the mesquite for the last hour and you get the full flavor!I'm not going for full mesquit flavor. The hickory provides great flavor but I want a subtle hint of mesquite with that. just an experiment.

I'm not going for full mesquit flavor. The hickory provides great flavor but I want a subtle hint of mesquite with that. just an experiment.

Sorry, my fingers work faster than my brain! I meant to say flavor, not the full mesquite flavor which is a little strong for some stomachs, sounds like you have a valid plan, going to be a "fully" miserable day after all that chow, looks like nap time soon after the dinner bill rings!!!!:sleeping:

I couldn't get a final pic of the brisket because by the time it was ready I had about 24 people waiting to eat.....
