When Celina's safety (#9) hit Lovejoy's receiver (#6) that was a clean hard hit. That hit was DIRTY, the kid put his head down and hit him in the facemask with the crown of this head. That is a helmet to helmet hit. It was incidental either, he lined up for it. Then ya'll's fans went nuts cheering when it happened. The ref's were horrible, both sides got away with some no calls. Just worked out better for ya'll this year. 3-4 plays get called or end differently and the whole outcome changes. The last TD was garbage against our bench players because the game was already decided. Last year the last TD was garbage on a broken play.

2nd half was prodimently Celina, Lovejoy pulled within 7 then turned the ball over. We are lucky is wasn't a huge blowout as many times as we put the ball on the turf. We had 4-5 fumbles that we recovered in the 1st half. We lost the ball too many times in the 2nd half.

I agree, he should have had his head on a swivel. Just didn't like going for the head. If he would have put it into his chest and dropped him I wouldn't have said a thing, except "d___ good hit". Your safety put one on one of our receivers and I didn't post a thing. It was a great hit. We put a few on ya'll too.

To me Sinton didn't have a dog in this fight, however when you saw in the thread that Lovejoy lost and I was posting you took your shot. I got no problem with that, just be prepared to take one back. P4S apparently got caught in the cross-fire and I hit a nerve. It's a forum, people talk smack. Watched the film this morning and it was a clean shot to the chest to spring the ball carrier. 2 dudes over 250 running that fast are gonna be a train wreck. I will try and post a clip after films this morning.

Now the initial impact could have slid the blocker up the body of a would be tackler when said tackler was falling backwards for the intital hit to the chest and engaged the head.

It could of been wind. When his helmet came off he tried to get up and fell back down on his face, then he looked like he was grabbing his chin. Like I said from the back side it looked like a head shot, I couldn't see where the Celina's kids hands were. Normally if you get popped in the chest your head flys forward and then back (like whiplash). From our stands it looks like his head went straight back. Maybe the block did slide up the body. From our side we saw his head go straight back, his helmet fall off and the crown of a orange helmet emerge. I don't mind the basketball dig, we have a decent squad this year and our football team had an off year and still made second round. Celina wore us down last night, but I'm proud of the boys for showing a lot of fight and not backing down.

Hopefully Celina came out healthy and will be ready for Henderson. Haven't seen Henderson play so I only know what has been posted here. If your starting back has returned you might do better than you think.

Accepted. That was my son and he is not dirty. In fact he is too nice for this game at times. I asked him how many holding penalties he had this season and he proudly said none. I told him he was not trying hard enough ;-). What made that hit so devastating was the size and speed of the kids involved. That was a 500 lb collision!
