Not 3A, but Goldthwaite over Ganado.
Especially after Ganado's coach was quoted in DCTF saying:


"I'll be honest with you," Thompson said, "if we don't play for a state championship this year, we haven't been successful. That's probably stupid, because if you don't get there, you get fired, but we should have beat Goldthwaite last year. We felt like we should have played for the state championship last season."


I don't think that set to well with our coaches, team, or town.
I know that doesn't sound to bad, but last year we were the defending state champions at the time we played them. So it's not like we didn't deserve to be there. In fact, if our qb hadn't got hurt in the first qtr. we may have beat them worse.

Never going to happen, Dawgs are in the playoffs and that means they are changing gears, last week 1st gear, this week 2nd gear. The Carthage Coach is amazing what he can do with 15,16, and 17 year old young men. Lindale will not beat Henderson, to much speed on both sides of the ball. Henderson eliminates the turnovers and win by 10. Anybody that thinks Chapell Hill will get beat by any team in 3A is drinking the cool aid. I recommend if anyone gets a chance to see Chapell Hill play they need to go. It will be a long time before we get to see a team with the speed they have on both sides of the ball.

Liberty Hill actually has the worse opponents' record numbers. However, Rouse is one of those losing teams and they are up a classification and also beat Lampasas. Also, Taylor was 3-1 and played for a share of district title before losing to Lampasas in a close game. However, they were 3-7 going into playoffs. That said...some of teams played by Devine never win much I do not think.

New flash: Speed doesnt win championships. Stop Drinking the Cool Aide.. Chapel Hill is beatable.. they arent the 90's cowboys geez.. heard the same talk last year. Who was there last loss too?? Oh yeah...

Besides, if we get to play Mason again, that just means more playing time for our jv players that were moved up to varsity.

Yea, our JV wasnt to good this year. This years freshman, will be on V as sophmores next year. A lot of talent coming up after them.

My best pick is Van in an upset over Gilmer. Gilmer has played too well too long, esp. without Luke Turner. Now, here comes a Defense that may be able to stop them enough times in Van to give the Van offense chances to put up substantial points. I think Van needs a lead to win this game, then let the defense try to hold on for the win.
