Mineral Wells I'll agree with that.

I also Sweetwater's Mustang Bowl is awesome...especially with the recent renovations.

But, their parking is very bad. Be prepared to walk a long distance if your the visitors. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Ours is grass. And the grass is well kept. The stadium itself is a little smallish, particularly the visitors' side. ;)

In our district, all the grass fields stink. Columbus had the best grass field we played on this year.

Especially when visitors drive a LONG way for a game that ends up getting cancelled! My son who was 7 at the time thought hanging out in your gym was awesome! That's a good thing because Daddy's nerves were wearin thin! We will always be Panther Fans!

The Navasota stadium is very nice but the dressing room for the visitors was not thought ought very well, by the time you get there its time to walk back, they need something closer to the field. The Liberty Hill stands on the visitor side are not centered run from the 40 to the 20 but i hear they are getting a new field.

You are correct. What you see isn't anywhere close to the original design of Rattler Stadium (from what I remember). However, it is still a nice stadium.

What I would like to see is:

1. Increasing the visitors side seating and parking.
2. Building a visitors locker room closer to the visitors side.
3. Adding restrooms and consessions under the home side seating.
4. Get instant replay.
5. Advertise more on the schools website. It's a shame that we have only hosted 2-3, maybe 4, playoff games since opening.

Mineral Wells is the nicest single school ISD 3A stadium I've run across...

North Forney is nice...Dallas Madison when they use Kincaide as a home field is also real nice...

Groesbeck and Gladewater are a little older but I still like both of them as well..

As I live 1 mile from Ram Stadium in Mineral Wells I must agree. I pass it everyday as I drop my son off at school. The football stadium, baseball, softball and Jackie Harvey Track Complex are awesome. Not all of these are on the taxpayers $ either. The land, Baseball, softball fields were donations. The track field built by the citizens of Mineral Wells and the Stadium with bonds. Now if we could just get a really good coach.

Oh now, don't get carried away. Improvements have been made the last couple of years, plus stand and pressbox renovations have been approved. Should look much different next year. With these renovations, Snyder will have some of the nicest facilities in the area.

as an overall sports complex, there's not many 3A schools that compare to ours.

holding a 4A area round matchup is a testament to how nice our football stadium has become. they could have easily played at buc stadium.

About the only thing I don't like about Jack V. Murphy / Bear Stadium in Gladewater is the visitor's seating. It's smallish -- might hold 1,500 fans............well, that, and it's in that stinky town of Gladewater, lol!

Always overlooked, but one of the better stadiums now after the renovation a couple years ago. Largest video board (high school) in west Texas....and the most seating capacity in district 5-3A, nice pressbox with separate areas for opposing coaches, and a ELEVATOR

North Texas sadly has some crappy stadiums.

Aubrey's nice but the visitor's seating is really bad, plus their sound system is terrible.
Sanger's is okay but the visitors have to walk about 5 miles to get to their seats.
Celina's is okay but visitor bleachers are still small and the parking situation may be the worst in the State of Texas.
Prosper has done a good job of updating their old crap heap.
Pilot Point our's is just bad. Home side is nice, but our visitor situation for fans and lockerroom is embarrassing.

If I had to pick a top 3 for this area, it'd be 1. Van Alstyne, 2. Gainesville, 3. Princeton, they've done a nice job of updating their stadium.

The "Nostalgia" factor is one of the biggest things going for the Mustang Bowl. Many a great game in several classifications has been played there by some outstanding teams. It has sort a "Lambeau" feel to it.

Replacing the stands is/was the biggest need for y'alls stadium before all the other renovations that were done IMO. I agree that once the stands are replaced Snyder will have really nice all-around facilities. Just still not on par with Sweetwater. :)

Cool little stadium. Can't find a good pick of it.. Has same rock setting from back when it opened, years ago.
