It was a pleasure to put some faces with screen names and meet you guys. Although it was cold, enjoyed it very much. And what a game!!!

I thought more people would of showed up. But it was fun meeting those who came even though it was a little chilly. Maybe we can do it again, at the soccer state championship

i would have come out to the hang out but the coach from Denton Ryan and Southlake Carroll held me up for an interview. I was on the Burnet sideline the entire time with my notepad in hand. And Corey Fullbright is a cool dude!

Also stopping by was 3afan. At the 3A title game, we were joined by PPHSfan. We ate some sausage wraps, and had a nice meet during the day. We actually shut down a little early, because as soon as the sun dropped, so did the temperature. We went on inside and watched the second half of the 5A game, and then the 3A Championship.

And, slpybear, we really missed you. Would have loved to meet you, but maybe next time.

Whew....I finally made it home! It was great meeting everyone and putting a face with the user name. I have to agree with everyone looking different than you picture them. I had pictured Jacket2000 looking COMPLETELY different.
Also there, but not posters, were Bellville22's little sister and Mrs. Eye of the Tiger.

Sinton66 - hubby and boys send out a BIG thanks for all the food you sent home with me - I guess they have been living on cereal and sandwiches since I left! :D

I agree 3afan2k3, we should do this at playoff games throughout the state. I don't think there was any place up there where we could have gotten out of the wind, but if we do this again at Texas Stadium, it should definitely be closer to the restrooms. That was a long walk.

My thanks and apologies go out to those of you who brought other food. I'm sorry we didn't turn out a bunch and get to use the food you brought.

RangerMom, you are definitely welcome, I'm going to be eating sausage for some time to come. Oh well, at least I won't have to cook. Glad you made it home safe and sound. I wish I could have figured some way to send some Blue Bell home with you. wink

Anyway, I just got back from San Antonio after watching my beloved Tarpons get decimated by a superior Marlin team.....BUT, on the way down to San Antonio, I saw a truck headed towards Dallas on I-35, DON'T REMEMBER THE COLOR, but it had bulldog flags on each side of it. I knew the game was way later in the day.......SO, I had a feeling it MUST HAVE BEEN A FELLOW DOWNLOW MEMBER. The truck might have been green, but I don't remember. It was about 10:00am on Saturday.

My son walked out in such a fizz to get to Dallas he left my potato salad (forgot to get his tickets from me too) and because of unforseen circumstances(which happens when you ride with someone else) it was going to be so late when we arrived (which I see I would have missed you all anyway :( ) I'm hoping to stay here (if I don't get run off) and get to know all of you even better and meet you next time :) I think you are all wonderful! I have to agree that no one was what I pictured them to look like either, but I am glad that I was able to meet all that were able to attend. Now I have a face to go with some of the names I see on here. Although it was really cold, I had a good time being able to talk and hang out with everyone. We definitely need to do this again, but when it's a little warmer outside! :D

I have to agree with Ranger mom. Jacket isnt what I expected either. I just pictured something diffrent, maybe something more like an "administrator" not a cowboy hat. No offense. but it was cool getting to talk with him and everyone else. Jacket I dont think you'll ever make that up to bearcat, I mean she was pretty cold out there. :D

Talk about not getting PPHSfan's autograph! I should have gotten everyone's autograph! For a scrub to get the privilege of meeting the Royalty of this board is nothing short of awe-inspiring! I quickly counted up the total number of posts made by the tailgaters and came up with almost 18,000.
