Brownfield 17, Littlefield 14.
Dimmitt 27, Lubbock Cooper 18
Brownfield 2-3A champs and go D1. This resulted in a 3-way tie for 2nd place between Littlefield, Muleshoe, and Dimmitt. On the point-differential tiebreakers, Muleshoe goes first seed in D2, Littlefield 2nd in D2, and poor old Dimmitt misses the playoffs again. I would have liked to see the Bobcats get in, but not over da Mules!
I believe Brownfield plays Borger, Littlefied plays Perryton, and Muleshoe plays Canyon.
Shallowater 55, Tahoka 12. Former 2-3A Shallowater should go pretty far in 2A playoffs; should smash headlong into Crane at some point down the road; that will be a good one!
Post beat former 2-3A Roosevelt, who again will not make the playoffs, despite a pretty good showing.
Former 2-3A Friona 55, Abernathy 0. The Chieftains probably will only go a round or two; not much depth, and West Texas 2A is damn tough this year!
