What are their strengths and what are their weaknesses? Heard they had a great running back...

Burk has got some good players. Their basketball team was outstanding last season, and you tell by the height of most of their skill people. They have a 6'5 receiver they like to throw the "Alley-oop" to a lot, and as you mentioned, the RB is pretty fast and good. The QB runs and throws pretty well, too. Burk's biggest problem is consistency---they move down the field and score, but next series they make mistakes, or give up the big play on defense. If they ever get 4 quarters of good football put together they are good enough to give you trouble.

We've seen a few of those this year. Edwards- Stephenville, Harris- Waco High, LaSane- Lovejoy, Estacado's back (can't remember his name), Ward (might as well have been a RB), and Ratliff. I can't remember a year when we have played against so many quality backs. You obviously can't similate that at practice, but playing against them week after week at least gives you a feel for the angles you have to take.

Great running back, athletic receiver and a quarter back that can run and throw. They throw to number five 6 out of ten times. Graham held their running back to 74 yards and the lone touchdown for burk and the receiver to 2 catches for 9 yards. Abilene wins this game by 2 touchdowns.
