That's not what happened. We got a first down so the clock was supposed to stop to reset the chains and they just let it run out. Whoever told you the timeout thing is full of crap. It was all about the first down and totally above board. Get over it. Your defense could have stopped us but didn't. Also, we had a touchdown nullified because he stepped out of bounds a few inches before he caught it, then stepped back in to catch it. We didn't gripe, rules were followed. Move on to the playoffs. I will say though that y'all were tough and well coached. Good luck in the playoffs.

I have them 4th on my rankings. Los Owls, Wimberley is still number 1 until someone knocks them down. #2, 3 and 4 are toss ups to me. I think you guys match up well with Gonzales. I would like to see this game but I have to see my Warhorses play. Good Luck.

Los Owls, I had Hondo over Sinton all season long. If Sinton was 8-2, I would have Hondo over Sinton. Rankings are like you said "They r fun to watch" all teams still need to play. I bet that if Hondo would of beat Devine, we would of drop to about 9 or even 10. According to 3adownlow, we havent matched up well with anyone. All we can do is keep winning, weak district or not score and stats dont lie.

Dont know about R4 D1, but if the R4 D2 champion last year returned the vast majority of players and they are (for the most part) healthy and clicking on all cylinders, its not a stretch to assume they will be champs again, especially after going undefeated.

In D1, WC, IMO is the only team that could give Chapel Hill a run for their money in the semis. Hope we get there, just worried about what's waiting on who does.

When you go to the Somerset game, watch and see what happens when somebody makes a first down. What is going to happen is that the clock is going to stop to move the chains. That didn't happen on the play you are referring to as the timekeeper let the clock run out. Refs simply followed the rules and put two seconds back on the clock. Too bad you couldn't keep him from scoring on the next play. Again tho, good luck. I believe you have a pretty darn good football team that is starting to come around like we thought they would. It's a good time to be peaking.

Devine finished the reg. season 1st on Offense and 1st on Defense in District 27-3A. There is still room for improving on both sides.

Agree that the call was a good one and GZ was the better team in that game. Disagree that GZ handed La Vernia their butts. For an example of a butt handing, see the Apaches' 41-13 loss in La Vernia last year or La Vernia's blowout losses to Wimberley and Giddings this year. Those sir were butt handings. Anyway, GZ has the better team this year, and hopefully they both do well in the playoffs.

That game was no fluke. If anything it might have helped Ingleside and expose some weaknesses, just like Sintons loss to Hondo. I will however say that if the two were to play again I believe Ingleside would win. One game at a time.
