What is ur unbiased prediction on who wins this game and why? I'm hearing from most that mathis has a slight edge.

I only see your post on here.... Mathis has speed QB and a couple of good players but I still think Rockport takes this one. I don't know who is hurt if anyone from Rockport. Seems like Rockport liked to the throw the ball but nobody could catch it.

Rockport has 1100 yd plus running back with 15 td to go with their qb Stratton Williams and Rockport has a good set of linebackers. Rockport Fulton should be the favorite in this matchup with Mathis but dont count them out just yet even though they will be the underdog for the 3rd straight week but this time they get to play at home.

When you get to Sinton I recommend you turn on South 77 to Odem and in Odem at the first signal light take a right. That is HWY 234 and you will go 6 miles to Edroy where you can turn on North 37 to Mathis. Another option is to go to Corpus and come up Hwy 37. It is out of the way but with that construction mess it might be better this time. Or else go to Odem and come up like I said.

There are a couple of way to get to Mathis from sinton. I would just drive around the barricades and continue on 188. The road is caliche for about 4 miles, but once you get to 188 and 796 it is new and fantastic roadway.

Another route is 188 to 630 and that will take you to I37 and then into Mathis.

Another option is going to Sinton then north to Skidmore then west to Mathis. I don't know the road numbers. Maybe Phil does.

At Skidmore you take 359 to Mathis. But from Sinton I still recommend the go to Odem, then Edroy and on to Mathis route. That unpaved road can cause damage to your windshield.

Another route would be to go North on 181 to St. Paul which is five miles from Sinton. Then turn on FM 3059 then turn left when you get to FM 796 and then right when you get back to 181. The road is paved and good the way to Mathis.

I don't recommend these unfamiliar roads especially at night. I still say the Sinton to Odem to Edroy and on to Mathis is the best route and the one I would take.

When i go from Mathis to Rockport or Rockport to Mathis i just take I-37 to Harbor Bridge and continue on to Rockport from there, no lights or stops :) :thumbsup:

To be honest: I don't hold anything warm or tingly for R-F. Those kind of green Pirates haven't always been kind to us. I remember seeing Dat Nguyen kill us all over the field in the 90's. I remember thinking, "who/what the HECK was that thing?"

To Necks: We thought the same way last year. Karma is a B!T(#! lol

Look like they would have some success until they fumble in that first drive to kill that drive. Down hill from there. Rockport didn't really get going til late 3rd qtr and their ground game finally wore down Mathis defense. No. 23 for Mathis(Lake Pirate's kid) had some good stops on defense couple of times got the running back in the backfield.

Rockport winning didn't surprise me but I expected a very close game which goes to show how little I know.
