Wimberley 38 Navarro 7. Sets up District C-Ship game next week against Boerne Greyhounds who have only one district loss. WHS shorthanded tonight but did get complete game out of Dennis Smith. Navarro too small to deal with his physicality. He ran like a man possessed and they just were not big enough. Although WHS did spread out touches amongst its RB's. Wilson and Kelley had nice runs as well. Burttschell and Holliman stepped up as receivers in Blakemore's absence and both looked good. Smith added dimension to running game. Jones played well at safety. Terreo filled in very well at ILB. Of course he has played well all year at OLB. Hoping to get injured players back in next week or two. Rumors are circulating about next week but we will see. Boerne has flown under radar this year but here they are. HArd to figure them but must be match up issues. They lost big to Navarro but won handily against Canyon Lake. If WHS wins it will probably be 3-way tie for 2nd place between Boerne, Canyon Lake, and Navarro. Boerne has a mobile QB who can pass I hear. Ought to be interesting. By the way...Navarro has a hard nosed, tough son of a gun in Eric Schlier (sp?) playing RB. He is a man. He also plays LB. Very physical. Had tough night but ran hard.

Don't know where that score came from. Van 28 WP 20. Van up 21-0 after 1st Q and 28-7 at the half. Van didn't play well in the second half but WP had something to do with that. WP's last score came with 30 sec. left. I will say that WP appears to be getting better. Their D did a nice job especially in the second half and they have a tiny freshman RB that is fun to watch. I would be surprised if they didn't beat Canton next week and claim that 3rd playoff spot.

Thanks for the clarification. I was certainly surprised when I saw that score but now my view of the football world has been restored! I am the Region 2 Editor and use the AP scores when I update all of the scores for the region and am really glad to have a correct score.
