I was officiating at Cleburne high school last night for two 8th grade A teams when the coach of the visiting team came up to me between quarters to tell me that one of his players came up to him and said,
"coach, that referee is smiling, why is he smiling, he is supposed to be serious." the coach told him he is smiling because he loves what he does.
After he told me that, I kinda chuckled and said " yeah I am definetly not doing it for the money" Of course the coach said I know what you mean.
