I need a good place to eat and a cheap(but clean) place to stay in Midland. Who's got some suggestions?

If you know Midland a little bit, the best thing to do is to hit Loop 250 that goes around the city for both eating & hotel.

Hotels:

On Loop 250, take Highway 80 Exit towards town (turns into Wall Street)

Best Western 3904 W Wall $50-$60 a night
(432-694-7774)
Sleep Inn 3828 W Wall $50-$60 a night
(432-689-6822)

There is another one on the North side of the road, very soon as you exit onto Highway 80 that is less than $50 a night. Older but clean. Can't remember the name, nor is it in the phone book.

On around Loop 250, on Garfield or near Garfield

Hampton Inn 5011 Loop 250 $60-$75
432-520-4935
Comfort Suites 4706 Garfield $60-$75
432-620-9191

Eating places on the north side of Loop 250
Johnny Carino's
Logan Steakhouse
Cheddars
Fazolis
Olive Garden
Cotton Patch
Outback Steakhouse

Another place to eat, if you like B-B-Q, is KD's. It is off of I-20 and Garden City Highway. It is a little pricey, but you get to pick your own meat. (Fun atmosphere too) It is also owned by a Greenwood couple - Kathy and Dwight Freeman.

BTW, what are you gonna be doing in Midland??
