All they need to do is come East, we have a few 2a teams and a couple of 1a teams that would change there mind about runniny the score up on people.

not so sure about that this year..East Texas 2A not as strong as the last couple of years

Sometimes teams are just that much better than their competition. Don't know if that's the case with Refugio, guess we'll see when the playoffs start. How do you tell football players to not play hard when it's been preached to them since peewee started?

If they are that good, they should play Green Bay! I would of said the Cowboys, but they are not good this year!

The article didnt mention that there are THREE teams that have scored 800 in a season:

SLC in 1992: 803
Celina in 2005: 803
Big Sandy in 1975: 824

I would love to see them try and score more than 10 against Alvarado.they would pass the 10 point barrier in two offensive plays :)

I dont like their fans but that team is that good, it'll take a another very good team to beat them in 2a.

They can't help who is in their district...think they played some decent teams in non-district

They have pitched 5 shutouts this year.. including the past 4 in a row. the last 3 were Kennedale, Hillsboro, and Venus. All district opponents. Kennedale (37 yds total off..) Hillsboro (11 yds total) and Venus (31 yds Total). Outscoring them 176 to 0.

They are very good though and no way to find out how they would fare against teams they wont ever play.

1. If Refugio goes east they will be in the ocean 2. They might be running it a bit, but some of the teams in that part of the state are just that bad.... E_V makes agood point venus is perennially not very good (basketball coach is a great guy though) and hillsboro is really bad.. as well as West might be the weakest district in the state (yes i know GR and Kdale are good solid teams)

So what if Refugio scored 73-0 this week...

seems kinda ridiculous both ways. lol

Crap! We should just make all teams that win big, LOSERS. That way everyone can just revel in the mediocrity! lol

We scored 31 in the first, 28 in the second and I think the rest of the points were by our second string. Anyways, Venus really built this game up. Talking all this trash on our players facebook walls and blah blah blah.

Also took a knee on four straight plays when the ball was inside the 1-yard line after a terrible, terrible punt that took an equally terrible bounce for Venus ... three other times Alvarado turned the ball over on downs inside the 15-yard line ... one thing you can never accuse coach Dixon of doing is running up the score.
