jr from rockdale jamal williams is awsome but has no line at all maybe next year he can show all his stuff but he is a real good player this year and starts both ways a real play maker for rockdale already.

I agree Jamal Williams is awesome. He is the type of guy who will get it done on offense and defense, but the comments made about him doing better next year is really carelessly said. All of the offensive line with the exception of 1 are seniors, I believe. Not to say,"HE WILL NOT BE AS GOOD NEXT YEAR" but stating that he doesnt have blocking is pretty ridiculous too, this line has given the best protection for the pass, and the best downfield blocking Ive seen since Bassler's junior year......1999 I believe. The last year they made the playoffs. Study up on your arguments before you post them next time.

patrick miller from burnet is really good. hes a strong fast back, as shoemaker discovered this past friday, and im not sure about his potential for college, whether it be to play at a small div. 1 school, or most any div.2.

I would vote for the Salas kid from Pilot Point. He was super quick to hit the line and looked like he had a good feel for the cutback at just the right time.

Does anyone know if Harrold Jeffries of Crane is a senior this year or last?

I am not going to say that Brandon McCurley is the best in state but he sure will be a candidate for most improved. He was soph. last year and could not break tackles. He would fall down as soon as he got hit. I think being the young kid on the varsity hurt him. This year he has hit the weight room and track and is definitely filled the shoes of Bunton and Wade who graduated the last 2 years. Also their is a Joseph Hill playing varsity this year and he ran like 160 yards against Pecos with a TD. I think McCurley in 2 games has around 400 yds with 5-6 TDS. Should be pretty good but not saying the best.

Freddie Rollins of McGregor no doubt. This kid can do it all. 6' 2" - 220 lbs. & runs a 4.5 40. Has moves and can just flat run over you.

Patrick Miller from burnet is the man. 257 yds on 19 carries this week. gives him something like 590 in 3 weeks. that's pretty good....

I will have to put LaShon Thayer of Gatesville up there with all the other RB. All he did last week was put up 231 yards at Cameron. He all ready has over 600 yards in 3 games.

I kind of agree with you Rob. Gatesville rb is pretty good. Takes half the defence to bring him down. I think him and Patrick Miller from Burnet are the most underated backs in 3A football.

Kyle Lightsey will be one of the best running backs in the state hes a sophomore right now and ran for 150 yards on 4 carries and 3 touchdowns hes just gotta get tha ball more cuz we have lots of good backs 3 different backs have broke 100 this year but none of them were near as impressive as what kyle lightsey did friday night

Spring Hill had a good one last year named Jamario or something like that. I think he is back again this year and should be a good one.

Freddie is a good running back but a better linebacker. I think if he went straight offense then he could be considered one of the best running backs, but not going both ways. I would say the he is one of the best if not the best all-around players in Texas. Look for them to go all the way this year. Good luck dawgs.

My pic is Ty Hopkins from newton eagles. He is a fast running back. He can give hits when he is running with the ball. But, you have to catch him first. He can also knock you out on defence.

I agree with the other Gatesville guy. Shon has improved so much after an awesome sophomore year last year. OUr summer conditioning program helped him to get a little faster, but he still needs that breakaway speed he hasnt quite captured yet. When he gets that then he will be that much more of a threat and I think everyone we have played this year will agree.

I don't think that Peebles is that good! All you have to do to shut him down is hit him hard and he will quite. Ya'll make him out to be the best but I think that Ty Hopkins will make Peebles look like a jv player. I'm not saying he aint good but he is not even close to the best and if he could go to any college why dont he just go to the Miami Hurricanes.

I say Jamal Williams he is a playmaker on offence, defence and kickoff return. He has exceptional speed. Running the 40 in 4.4.

I would have to agree with some others that Patrick Miller from Burnet is pretty good. He's a big green fighting machine!
