Depending on how Sweetwater and Snyder games turns out then Sweetwater vs Brownwood may be an option

This usually isn't a great game BUT Venus@Alvarado is getting pretty tense. Venus is really talking a lot of trash this year instead of just taking the loss. They think they have a chance at beating us with Bates out this game.

I think the Venus trash talking started when they beat Maypearl then Castleberry......but I think they got a little quiet after the Palmer game. If #2 cant go I think Big O and the O line will step up and manage just fine!!!!!!! 36-394 in district games.

Wylie vs Snyder....of course thats dependent on Snyder beating Sweetwater this week.

What happened to bates?

I heard from a reciever that he was out because of a concussion but he's back at 100%. Even without Bates the score would be atleast 55-0.

Ok.. so I am not from Alvarado but I thought this was really funny statement so I had to look up the record of Venus against Alvarado. Venus hasnt beaten Alvarado since 1911.. hasnt scored a Touchdown on Alvarado since before 2000 I think... they played in 2001 and scored 6 points.. so how in the world is a team like that talking trash? Maybe i just need to stick with east texas football..

Still not the smartest thing in the world to do when Alvarado is beating teams 55-0. I wouldnt be talking trash to Carthage because I know how good they are and they are just right down the road. Its going to be a good game over here! But I was smh head when I saw that comment.

Im sure the Alvarado/Venus thing is kids being kids, since they are so close many of these kids have played against each other and even on same teams in summer programs together. That being said, if you are gonna poke the bear, dont cry when it turns around and swats you on thursday nite then again on friday night.
