Mathis coming over to Ingleside undefeated and Ingleside losing to Sinton makes this game even more crucial. I think the Mustangs have what it takes to recoup and come out with a win this week. Should be another good game. :thumbsup:

all ingleside has to do is stop the run, even though mathis new offense is in shotgun, mathis qb has cannon but no accuracy. it seems it he trys to hard to throw. but he is very quick! but inglesides LB's and DE's should take care of that. i expect to see alot of 3 and outs for mathis just because everyone knows what mathis does... qb draw, zone left, and zone right haha

Mathis has been playing without its main threat, Washington. Not sure if he has played since that first game. It will make a big difference in Mathis offense with a rb that can take it the distance if he gets into the open.

San Patricio County sheriff's investigators say the neighbor called to report he had surveillance footage of Amanda Rose Owens sneaking into his East Bethel home through a dog door.
The Corpus Christie Caller Times reports that the neighbor set up the camera after $300 and several items were stolen.
Investigators say Owens admitted she had broken in three times. She said she need money so she could pay for 20 to 30 pornographic DVDs she bought.
Owens was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary. She does not have a listed phone number and it wasn't clear Saturday if she had an attorney.

The rb that has been getting the carries is Dallas De La Cruz and has rushed for 691 yards and 5 tds. With Washington in there, can't key on the qb. Ingleside suprised a high power Mathis team last year, seems the roles could be reversed this year even though Mathis is unbeaten still.

Mathis wasn't a threat with Miar, Butler and Washington to a young Ingleside defense last year along with the QB Alvarado I doubt they will be better than last year....i've seen Mathis twice this seasons and I wasn't impressed.....Ingleside wins convincingly

That is true you never claimed to be humble. I guess that is what happens to a select few fans when you have a tradition of winning ie see some Refugio fans. I did say that Sinton hadn't seen seen a team like Ingleside as far as Offense is concerned and now they have and we're able to slow them down.

As far as Me personally blaming the coaches on this forum, that didn't happen. Sintons continued succes has been a result of good coaches and players, but to say a program will always be better is pretty dillusional. Everyone has down years including Sinton and that is the only fact.

At the qb position, Sinton has face some good scrambling qbs, Hondo qb and Rio Hondo qb both very good runners and elusive, especially Rio Hondo qb. Orange Grove qb would be in great position to roll away from the rush and find a open receiver. Ingleside qb was a pocket qb not much threat of him running with it. When they did replace him both times it was a big gain on qb keepers with one of the McHugh. As far as receivers that was the best so far Sinton has faced this season. Offensive lines, Hondo and Orange Grove were pretty good.

Would you say that OG and Hondo offensive lines looked better?yea, bigger line and made it hard to get to qb and had to blitz few times, which didn't worked out so great against Orange Grove as the qb would roll away from the blitz side and find the open receiver. Rushing Sinton has stopped each team so far this season, Rockport rb did get over 100 with those yards coming just before half and late in the 4th qtr other than that the most was 39 yds from a rb for a game.

Mathis offense is no where near where it was last year. Lots of losses due to moves and graduations. It's a young team learning a totally new system, then top that off with some injuries. No one expected much from Mathis this year and that's just fine; We've been all but left out of the playoff picture and that's great too. I predict this game to go as expected, I also see the Pirates doing what they do every week, and that's play their hearts out. The Pirates won't just lay down. I'm hoping for an injury-free game.we all know the feeling in Ingleside, last year we weren't even predicted to make the playoffs before finishing 2nd in district.......district 30 is no cake walk and I know Mathis won't lay down for anyone!!!

Sweeny lost to Wharton but, Sweeny had alot of injuries, more than normal. I heard they got alot of their players back so however draws a healthy Dawg football team will probably be little surprized by them.

That is true you never claimed to be humble. I guess that is what happens to a select few fans when you have a tradition of winning ie see some Refugio fans. I did say that Sinton hadn't seen seen a team like Ingleside as far as Offense is concerned and now they have and we're able to slow them down.

As far as Me personally blaming the coaches on this forum, that didn't happen. Sintons continued succes has been a result of good coaches and players, but to say a program will always be better is pretty dillusional. Everyone has down years including Sinton and that is the only fact.


Just my 2 cents, but get use to winning as a program first and being humble yourself before judging other towns or thier fans. This was suppose to be the best team Ingleside has had in years per your coach and almost everyone predicted Ingleside to win the district hands down and thats GREAT becuase that made winning all the more sweeter for Sinton! THE SINTON WAY speaks to decades of tradition.........not just a couple of years. You can't demand respect simply because you win a few games and think your better than everyone else, our coaches and players know they have to earn their respect every year and every game, and yes Sinton has and will have some off years, but as tradition has it we will rise again "THE SINTON WAY"! Lighten up,enjoy the game and best of luck to Ingleside and Mathis tonight and I hope no one gets hurt.

94, I talk to Izz all during the season, before and after. He really is a humble guy. We've watched many games together(Sinton and Ingleside games). I couldn't ask for a more objective guy to watch football with. I know he gave much kudos to Sinton, after their win this week, over a team that Ingleside considers as possibly very special. I think they can have a very special season, too. I guess I'm just saying that I can vouch for him as being "down to Earth" in all aspects. He's truly one you want to get to know. :) I really haven't met a bad Ingleside poster yet. lol

Something that is worth mentioning. At the end of the game Ingleside had another Freshman runnining back and QB playing. With 50 seconds left to play at the Mathis 3 yard line the coach signaled to have them kneel the ball. I only bring this up because I thought that it showed some tact on the Ingleside coaches part to not put another meaningless touchdown on the board. I know some of the parents and friends of the backup players were not happy and were yelling that they deserved to get to play, and I although I agree to some extent, I think it was classy to not score and showed some good sportmanship.

Mathis played hard and had some very good runs to the outside and the QB had some good passes that were dropped by the receivers. Like one of the Mathis fans said, they played with a lot of heart and had a good fan base turnout.

We're very proud of our Pirates. They knew coming in to this game that they had a monumental task ahead of them, and they walk away with their heads held high. The Mustangs are a great team with a lot of class. Their fans and community were awesome. We would have liked a better outcome but we lost in a clean and classy contest. All in all a great experience. This season isn't over yet, but we must regroup. Congrats Mustangs.

Thanks for the info. My wife grew up in Devine and she hopes that we get to play them if Ingleside makes it to the playoffs. I assume Devine is already a shoe-in at this point.
