A while back the Alvarado coach was quoted saying that after they dropped to 3A he was trying to model the program after Abilene Wylie which has similar athletes....except now they have better athletes that can compete with anyone. Alvarado rolls through their district straight into the later rounds of the playoffs..if not all the way.
