Their AD told me recently they were at 980 and the number might get lower.

We're already in a must win situation Friday to make the playoffs. Add in EC and LM and it will look a lot different.

I look for Palacios to drop to 2A.

El Campo
La Marque
Needville
Sweeny
Wharton

EC and Wharton could join Cuero and District 28 but not likely IMO.

There hasn't been anything in the El Campo Leader-News- or on Radion Station KULP-I haven't talked to Gillis since the Wharton County Coaches Luncheon in August. If they did move down, the rivalry with Wharton would be bigger. Wharton and El Campo played some closer games than recently when they were in a 4A district way back whem. I do know the population of El Campo has dwindled. Gillis was hoping his school would have dropped the last realignment period. If they do drop, they will be a team to be reckonod with. The beat Foster last week and lost to Angleton 36-34 three weeks ago. They host a good Terry team tonight. The Rangers are coming off a 50-49 overtime loss to Angleton

Look for EC to drop. Out west Stephenville might. La Marque has the numbers this time to drop but they are facing big financial problems and the Superintendent stated this last realignment that La Marque would have opted to stay at 4A due to more travel expenses if they would have dropped to 3A. Right now everybody in their 4A district is in a very close driving distance.

Went to a lot of Brazosport-Wharton games when they played-Both in Wharton and at Hopper Field

The Dawgs of Yoakum are very close to dropping to 2A as well. Their numbers were very close last realignment and if the numbers go up much at all, Yoakum may move down.

I recently saw in Yoakum paper that they had around 480 in high school. So they will probably stay 3a.

Ricebirds lose to Rosenberg Terry 23-13 but still in playoff picture but must beat rival Bay City next week-Ricebirds and Blackcats have played 103 or 104 times. Blackcats are down this year but only lost to Angelton 28-7. Thought the Wildcats would score at least 40 points
