Nice job D. Kudo's to Lanny Wilson, DC, getting the most from a great group of kids. Not huge size, but very quick and intense. I have watched a lot of Apache football and played on a defense that had 7 shutouts, but this group is by far the best man for man. There may have been one or two better individuals, but defense is always a team effort, and I believe these Apaches bring it. Congrats guys, and here's to the next big defensive performance.

Gonzo's defense has been tremendous. Gonzales has a defenses best friend.---- a running game.. check the time of posession in Gonzo's games. They make first downs and move the chains. The offensive line is very good. They had 18 first downs vs SH. Gonzo's defense was on the field for 3 snaps in the 3rd quarter. This team is very solid on both sides of the ball!

Lombardi, you are abosolutely correct. Kinda got one sided there, but I was a defensive specialist. Had to put me on offense somewhere, so I backed up the other 2 wingbacks just in case. My heart belongs with the D, but Gonzo is very much a smash mouth style team on both sides of the ball. It is amazing the O line is that good with 3 sophs. holding down the middle of the line, but then again they all started as frosh. and have a years experience. And when Gz lines up in the power or stack I with Lock and Noack at the power spots, you just added 2 more guards to the package. A great ground control offense does wonders against the spread. Anyone remember the LH running game. So, nice job D and great job O keeping them fresh even though 5-6 go both ways. Also, congrats to the team on getting the Region IV TEAM of the week. Congrats to Ricky and his staff.
