Gonzo's defense was outstanding .I was impressed with gonzo's ability to make first downs(18) and keep the ball the entire third quarter, SH had 3 offensive snaps the whole quarter!! I was also impressed with how physical the apaches were Friday night.. Numerous SH players were tapping out!

Got that right. Not sure we ever been pounded that hard before. Lucky we didn't sustain injury against them too. That safety (#21 I believe) is brutal coming up and smacking on play's up the middle. That defense should come with a health hazard notice. I'm old school, and still believe "D" win's championships, and they dern sure have that in GZ.

Don't know a lot about all of these teams to even vote but I do know when you beat a team 27-0 you deserve being ranked higher than just one above. (Gonzales 27 - Sam Houston 0)

The top 2 teams in the Region are Wimberly & West Columbia.

WC will go D 1
Wimberly will go D 2.

Anybody that thinks their team is higher than these 2 are dreaming right now.

I have to agree with ol country boy's logic. AP Poll has Wimberley 2nd and Columbia 8th in the state. Dave Campbell's has Wimberley 3rd and Columbia 7th in the state. It seems to me that common sense says until they lose Wimberley should be 1st, Columbia 2nd and then fill in the rest from there.
