La Feria vs. Rio Hondo

La Feria is now 6-0 after solidly beating RGC La Grulla 42-13, a game that was "projected" to be a close one. They travel to Rio Hondo to take on the defending 32-3A Co-Champions who are 4-2 after beating the Red Ants of Progreso 55-8. This will be La Feria's first real test of the season, and can make a huge statement to the rest of the district with a win over the Bobcats. Rio Hondo's only losses this season are to undefeated 32-4A Edcouch Elsa (34-13) and 30-3A Sinton (35-30? I don't recall exact score but it was a close one)

Yoakum vs. Cuero. big time rivalry.

True, it's a big time rivalry. But Cuero is involved in "Games of the Week" a whole lot.

Why not give other districts some attention for a change?

6-0 Ingleside at 5-1 Sinton.

Sinton has won 3 straight district titles, sharing with Inlgeside and Mathis in 2009. Sinton is 33-2 in non playoff games since 2008 with one of those loses to Ingleside.

Ingleside comes in with a explosive offense against Sinton team that has been improving each week on offense.

With Sweeny's loss to Wharton, this game probably decides a playoff spot for 29-3A.

i'll also nominate Ingleside vs Sinton.... this game is quickly become a big time rivalry game, after Sintons long rein on this district....Ingleside has won 3 of the last 5 games between the these two teams...Ingleside is 6-0 and Sinton is 5-1 and the winner of this game probably has a really good chance of winning this district. :2thumbsup

Wimberley (5-0) v Canyon Lake (6-0). Old school (WHS) v new school (CL). Smaller school (WHS-650) v bigger school (CL-900+). Schools about 20 miles apart. Both teams took down a potent Sealy squad. Big playoff race implications, etc.

There are some very good region IV matches this coming week. I vote for Ingleside vs. Sinton because as others have pointed out it has somewhat become a rivalry and this could have district champ implications.

I am a region 3 guy, so you guys prolly don't care what I think, but I said sinton and ingleside should be game of the week and I am sticking with that.

Go with the outsiders vote, sinton and ingleside.

Wimberly is going to beat canyon lake, by 2 scores. I am not sure who will win the sinton/ingleside game.
