East Bernard graduate Shane Lecher, who went to A&M and broke several punting records. plays for the Raiders and has several team and NFL records.
Lechler quarterbacked and punted for the Brahmas and led them to the regionals in 1994; losing to Schulenburg in the Astrodome. He helped the Brahma baseball team win back to back 2A baseball state championships
This will be my first year to miss any Texans games since I don't have press credentials-
