Where ever he goes ....I wish him well.

not easy being a QB...even tougher being on in the State of Texas (esp texas and for the cowboys).

Assuming he gets a medical redshirt, he will still have have two years left. Reports are out there that he's visited SMU already. Wish him well. http://www.chron.com/sports/longhorns/article/Benched-UT-quarterback-Gilbert-decides-to-transfer-2204428.php

It's called getting your head spun. Happens all the time to talented athletes. He'll end up being successful somewhere else.

He read to many message boards and lost his confidence...sad because during practise and 2 a days you could see his talent

He was at SMU's practice yesterday.

He had it easy in HS. I wonder if he was sacked more then 5 times his entire HS career.

NFL aside (never guarantees there) would you rather have a degree from Tarleton or one from SMU?

don't forget they have Johnny Manziel...............one of the best around football players I have ever seen....playing, coaching, scouting or just watching the game.

but he may not be used at qb.

1. Knock out a grown ass man – Apparently Davis and some of his teammates were at a sporting event when Davis got into it with an AAU coach. At least that’s what I’ve deduced from his Twitter @That___DavisGuy. With phrasing like “haymakered” and “You finally got to see me fight. I might be nice, but I ain’t no punk” you can see how I came to that conclusion. By far my favorite tweet was “I slept they coach” which in today’s urban parlance means he knocked that guy smooth out.

Ditto, he had the best line, best receivers, and little competition. He never had to pull it out of his rear, like vince young and colt mccoy and most QB's learn early on. He is talented, but I honestly believe he never got to learn the early lessons of putting the ball down field, while under pressure, in the middle of equally talented athletes. Im sure its great to completely dominate as LT did during his Jr and Sr years, but I dont think he developed as well as he would have on a team where he would have learned to make due with limited talent. I honestly hope he is able to develope these needed skills where ever he goes.

Tarleton, because I would much rather graduate with no student loans and a degree worth the same amount and not have half of the fun because I have to pretend being high and mighty the entire time. I don't think there is a bar near SMU that has .50 drafts either. ;)
