QB 3 yards back in SG formation

similar to pistol but more slot T kind of action. You can have two tight......or a spread look out of it....how effectice could it be if you add a lot of variations and formations to it?

when we ran the wishbone back in the early 2000's that would be our formation when both hb's were split and our qb would drop back in shotgun with the fb behind him....he could either hand it to the fullback or step behind him for an added man blocking in passing downs.....plus the fb could step into the flats on an overload of one side or the other and almost have a small wall, sorta a screen scenario....i wouldnt use it every down, tho.....

The last one is called "Dueces" and is a staple in any spread offense. The others are legal but not sure what angle you are trying to get with them.

he first one we would call flex squeeze

We have run two h back looks for years, pistol backfield or not. Can go a lot of ways with it, wingt/option/iso/inside zone/outside zones etc

Look At the Texas Longhorns and their Brian Harson's "Wild Horn" package. He uses pistol with motion man and sometimes a double slot back in the backfield.

That top formation is Sweeny's base formation. We call it "Diamond".
