The Tigers should blow the Hornets out- Caldwell lost to a weak Royal team last week

this is a good for game tigers to open up district with. the offense looked rusty against Columbus an will look to iron out the mental mistakes against a down Caldwell team. there going to have to be clicking. on all cylinders before rockdale in two weeks as that will be a huge game that I feel will determine the last playspot spot.

Looked up some stats: Rockdale is 20-1-1 all time against smithville, Rockdale has won the last 15 meetings. But I watched smithville last friday and they are pretty good, As said this game will decide 3rd, but I really think smithville may beat giddings, or navasota. Cake walk this friday for the Tigers they probably break 60 on the hornets.

Smithville will beat Caldwell, we will wait and see later, I do think that Rockdale and Caldwell will battle for 3rd, LG just doesn't have it I don't think.

I know I'm ready for district to start. I lived in this area my whole life an there is just so much old school history between smithville, giddings, la grange an rockdale then throw in a power in navasota an its going be a great district race. just so many story lines, la Grange surprise slow start an seem to be playing the spoiler with Caldwell. the to big boys giddings an navasato look to be the odds on favorite to battle to see who will come up with the district crown. then can smithville get over the hump an end a 13yr playoff drought an edge out rockdale for a playoff spot an outside shot to upset a big boy. I know smithville as a town is getting pumped an behind the tigers an are ready for a exciting district race.

That site isn't accurate. Navasota was in the district with Willis for a very long time and it has the record of being 1-1. This is the case with Bellville/Navasota, Sealy/Navasota, Cleveland/Navasota, Rockdale/Navasota, Madisonville/Navasota, etc...And, there's no mention of Navasota/Magnolia, Navasota versus the Conroe schools back when Navasota was 4A in the early 80's and most of the 90's-2003/2004?... I can go on....

Smithville up at the half 26-0. but i am not very happy with the penaltys by my tigers. way to many for me to handle!!!! on a brighter note we are taking better care of the ball and not fumbling like we did against Columbus.

FINAL: Smithville 46 Caldwell 7. Smithville showed up and did what they where suppose to do! Now it's time for my tigers to strap up there pads a little tight and get ready for the Gontlet, Rockdale, Giddings , Navasota, LG. With Rockdale up next in a HUGE game for the tigers. The game nxt Friday against Rockdale will be the biggest game for Smithville since 1998 when they made the playoffs and played......ROCKDALE. but every game from here on out can arguably the biggest game for the tigers since 1998. Things are about to get real, real fast!!

Great win Smithville. Proud of your vigor and hunger to win-can feel the energy all the way from LG. It's nice to see yall back on track and full steam ahead. Excited for match in a few weeks with LG-should be a nice cat fight!! Trivia: did you know Orange and black was LG origional colors at LHS and mascot name was Wildcats before renaming to Leopards!! Way to go Tigers-fire up your town. Hope to cruise by Zimmerhanzel's for some BBQ soon!!!

Convincing win Tigers. D23 is going to be a wild ride. It will be interesting to see how the all Tiger match goes next week. That game should have big implications on who goes to the playoffs. Good luck.
