Finally, District 30 play is starting. Ingleside enters the contest at 5-0 and Goliad at 1-4 with a win coming against Bishop. The Mustangs have been really playing to their potential and are running on all cylinders. I like the Mustangs for the win in this game.

I don't know about HUGH, who's he anyway? Now HUGE I know. Being an ex-Tiger from the 70's, I hate to say it, but this one will get ugly. Ingleside will want to flex its muscle in their district opener against a weaker opponent.

Their names have slipped my mind but back in the early 90's they had two brothers that were running backs that were really good.

It appears Ingleside will be doing without the services of Marquise Barolle. He told my wife that he has stress fractures in his ankle. He told her that he did not know how long it would take to heal. This is a shame. Marquise is a lot of fun to watch.

What a bummer. He sure seemed to be having a breakout year. I hope the kid heals fast.

I'm not so worried about him sitting out the Goliad game but we sure need him when we play Sinton and Rockport-Fulton.

Bummer. I was looking forward to watching him play here soon. I hope that he makes a quick recovery.

Elton Perry... I think. I left there in '87 and kept up with everyone for awhile.

Did he get injured in the Robstown game? I noticed on the stats Ingleside only had 8 rushing attempts.

No he did it during the West Oso game. He made about 4 rushing attempts in the Robstown game and couldn't make his cuts and turns. He did receive a pass and went for the TD. (About 60 yds. I think.) He was running straight on that one.

Keep us updated on how he is doing. I hope he returns healthy and can get some more playing time this season.

This should be a better contest than the Robstown game, Goliad has a little bit of a offense.

I've only read the clippings on my old hometown in Goliad, but apparently they can put up some points. They must lack a D, because in the games where they scored at least 21 pts. or more, they gave up even more. I don't look for them to win tonite, but I doubt it will be such as blowout as some say. I would think 21 pts. difference is about where this game will end up.

I was told that Goliad plays tough the first half but just can't get it together the second half. Do you know if that is true?

Why would that be? Ingleside scored another TD and so did Goliad, more than likely both scores were with second string.
