District play has finally arrived in 23-3A. Rockdale comes into Rattler Stadium with a 3-2 record while the Rattlers, 4-1, look to keep the unbeating streak against Rockdale going. Both teams have played Madisonville and Cameron. While the Tigers have struggled to beat the Mustangs and Yoemen, the Rattlers won convincingly.

It's a new season and D23 is up for grabs. Who comes out on top?

Rockdale Tigers 3-2

Abilene Wylie L 35-14
Salado W 51-42
Cameron Yoe W 11-10
Liberty Hill L 27-20
Madisonville W 13-10

Navasota Rattlers 4-1

Madisonville W 40-7
Willis L 35-28
Rudder W 31-7
Cameron Yoe W 42-21
Wharton W 54-0

How Rockdale does will depend on their passing game....

Too many atheletes in Navasota, Rockdale is just too thin this year they lost alot to move outs. Navasota wins 48-20

If the Rattlers can score 54 points on Wharton they can score at least 30 against Rockdale

Yep, I'm thinking surely the Rattlers ought to handle the Tigers handily.....But then I remember last year's game:stirpot:

What happened last year other than Navasota winning 36-7?

I can't see Rockdale winning this game, at Navasota as well. If they can keep it within 2 scores, I put them ahead of smithville in the race for the playoffs.

+1...im one, too, that is tryin to put a handle on smithville....cant tell whether they are stumbling, or maybe the fire problems are working their way thru (like the hurricane damage did to k'ville a few years back to their team)....rockdale always gets better during the year, whether they make the playoffs or no...this will be a "telling" game, i think....
