A good win for the Eagles, but I think we played kind of flat tonight. Could have been worse.
Anyway congrats to the JV....6-0 on the season, and beat a 3A school.

I'm sure this JV win tonight solidifies your argument that your 1993 varsity could have beaten our 1993 varsity.

Yep.
BTW, what's up with yall's coach? He stayed on the field half the night like it was some kind of scrimmage. LOL..

Yeah, it was a good win. Yall looked pretty good, especially the 2nd half on the left side of your O-line. Found something and stuck with it. It was there most of the night. May see you in a few weeks when Mason comes to town. M/G be neat.

Lightening at the Goldy/Bwood game last night. I was kind of suprised they didn't stop the game.
Of course the Eagles were lightening up the score board. :D

Wylie 41
Estacado 0

I noticed that Estacado's varsity roster shows 10 Sophomores on the varsity. That would partly explain the lopsided JV score.

Educate me...what does the 10 Sophs got to do with it?

We have 10 Sophs on the Varsity and JV beat Gladewater 58-0 last night. I am trying to learn here.

For example, the year we played ya'll in the state championship there was only one. (Nasser) It's pretty easy to figure out that any Sophs moved up to varsity are either there because they are good players or they play a position that is pretty thin depthwise for Juniors/Seniors...either one means the JV will usually suffer unless the other teams they play do the same.

Our Varsity is normally heavy on Jr & Sr with some Soph & the occasional Fresh, generally rotating between 45 & 55 in & out in a game. As of now, I am very happy with them (5-0 against some good teams). The Sophs on the squad are players or they drop back down to JV. JV, at present, has some real horses, several would be starting material in most programs. We played Gladewtaer Thurs & it was real ugly (58-0)...it was like a good Varsity playing a poor JV...they got a few 1st downs (late in the game)...that was about it. Our 9th grade has six players that have moved up to JV...once agian, they looked real good and G'water struggled (42-25)...their 25 was against the remnants late in the game.

It seems that this year, we are blessed with some greta backups...7th grade 18-12 & 8th 22-16... everyone is 5-0...I have no idea how the other teams move up guys...I do try to watch how we do.
