Id love to see that QB for Schulenburg. Dont think it gets anybetter than Godley/Eastland in 2A this week. Both 5-0, Godley athletic, Eastland with a solid QB. Oh, and can stop off in Strawn for a CFS and a BIG Shiner.

Think you will be surprised by the Eastland intensity, they are a pretty good team! Don't know a word about Godley, so can't make a prediction. But how can you lose on this deal, a good meal and cold beer, and HS football on a beautiful fall Texas night, and finally 70 degree temps to go along with it. Just remember to sit on the Godley side...........please!

Not really, just seems you have a bad mojo following you around, see Carthage-Bwd last year, :stirpot:

Eastland was a pretty scrappy bunch in our scrimmage with them, and the QB is above average. Don't mind if they do well and represent the Cen-Tex region this year.

I think they do to. I keep hearing from the 2A faithful that Godley is good enough to win it all this year. Cant wait to see for myself tomorrow night. That is if I make it out of the Mule Lip Bar in Mingus in time for kickoff

Friend of mine owns a little store in Lone Camp but I haven't been through there in a couple of years. Mingus can get pretty rough, better grab it to go. :)

Problem is, ill have a tummy full of CFS from Mary's before I hit Mingus so I wont be as agile and mobile if it hits the fan

:thinking: G2, I think I saw the final as Eastland 30 - Godley 28. Looks like you were treated to a great ball game. Wonder if Eastland pays you an appearance fee for sitting on the Godley side?:)
