It's always the case every year. Some teams come in to the playoffs with too much of a chip on their shoulder and read the papers too much about how good they are.
Ballinger losing to Bridgeport? Ballinger could probably take Bridgeport 9 out of 10 games but it all comes down to one game in the playoffs. Bridgeport's QB, a junior, threw for over 300 yds. against Ballinger.
Crane beating Midland Greenwood was also a shock.
Wylie losing to Vernon wasn't a great shocker but the final score was. Scott torched Wylie's defense for around 250 yds. rushing.
Aledo came through and turned back Alvarado who most people had picked in the game. Aledo came up with a stellar defensive effort against Marcus Bridgewater.
Sweetwater fooled Graham with their wingback reverse, and 7 players ran the ball for Sweetwater in their win over the Steers.

Any other upsets around other regions worth mentioning? I'm sure there are a few out there.

LA FERIA NETTED 483 YRDS OF TOTAL OFFENSE.
