Decatur defense will hopefully have two starters back this week that have been out for the last three weeks due to injuries. Hopefully that will be enough to handle the Div. 1 runningback for Burk. Wasn't he out for injuries when B'port played them?

He played when we played them a few weeks ago and he had a pretty good amount of yards on the ground, the guy is a workhorse. He's not the only guy Decatur will have a hard time defending, they have a 6'5 reciever (curren) that pretty much gets every jump ball thrown his way, he came down with the ball on Burks last second hail mary to beat Mineral Wells last week.

We'll definately find out where Decatur is this week. They've had a pretty gravy schedule thru 5. That being said 5-0 is still good. Their D is much improved and offense improving. Will be a good game for Decatur either way it turns out with first conference game at Bridgeport next week!

I don't think anyone was injured at the start. I think their star runningback got hurt later on in the game though.

it was their best linebacker that got hurt when we played them, and the game was stopped with about 1:30 left in the 3rd. They are without him tonite.

I felt like Burk had a better team starting the season, but now with some key injuries to players in leadership roles, I'd say this game becomes a toss-up. When you lose your best linebacker on D, it serioulsly impacts the whole team. They did win last week, but this is a different team in Decatur. I just don't know about this game now. I would have thought the Burk D would shut down the Decatur O. But now I"m just not sure.

I just arrived at the game so I haven't seen anything yet but I have to ask, does he play defense too? If not, it's the 31 points allowed that is the big problem.

I think an argyle poster earlier said that Burk is also without their best linebacker out with injury. Two key players out, I see decatur running away with this in the second half unless they lay an egg.

The game was in Burk so they had the edge, should be interesting next week. Decatur first then we travel to Mineral Wells, I think if we win those two you might as well crown us as district champs.

I'm pretty confident that Bridgeport can shred Decaturs defense if we're clicking on all cylinders. And I didn't guarantee that Bport would win the district I just "IF" we can win our first two district games that we will more than likely end up champs, calm down there gramps.

4th of July in October? Yeah...

That was the year that Bridgeport finished the season 10-0, it was the first time in school history for them to do that and it also marked an end to Decaturs win streak against us. There was reason to celebrate.

in all honesty, bridgeport is way down compared to the last few years. but to win this district it wont take an all star team, just two recievers and a running back, which is the only upside to their team. as far as decatur goes, they'll put points up easy, but no way in hell do they stop bports offense. wise county football is dull this year.
