another down to the wire cuero-yoakum game. looked like it was going to o.t. like last year. yoakum fumbled on own 5 yd. line with about a minute left. cuero scored on 3rd and goal on a pass play with 36 seconds. both teams left it all on the field as usual in this game. congrs. cuero and good luck rest of year. bulldogs keep your head high and if you continue playing as hard as you did tonite good things are in store for you.

Great game Yoakum. It went down to the wire as usual. Both teams left it all on the field.

Wow!!! What an exciting game. It all came down to a fumble in the final minutes as is often the case with evenly matched teams. Congratulations to Cuero, yall appear to be on your way to your best season in years. Yoakum must be really dissapointed, but they have nothing to be ashamed of. I expect the Bulldogs will gather it up and run the table the rest of District 27. Gobbla2001 hats off! :)

Cuero led 14-0 at the half. Yoakum did not get a first down till 54 seconds before the half.

Coach Crowe made great adjustments for the 2nd half and dominated the line of scrimmage with trap, misdirection plays and what they do best passing, set the aggressive Gobbler defense on their heels.

Yoakum has a great passing game in Qb Starling and WR Wilemon and Coach Crowe used them to the fullest exploiting the Cuero secondary who had not faced a very good passing team.

The Gobblers savior in the second half was the kicker Brandon Hilbrich who had 6 punts for an 45.5 avg. His last punt pinned Yoakum on the 3 yd. line that led to the fumble recovery and 3 plays later the winning Td.

Hats off to Yoakum. You are a great team and not to be taken lightly by anyone.
