In this case Monterrey Tech said they could fly into Corpus, but they couldn't guarantee the cartel wouldn't follow them....so G-P said umm yeah we aint dealing with that

A Wimberly/GP game would great to prepare each team for district. Starting to look like if it actually happens that either Floresville or Pleasanton would be a neutral site.
No official word just yet, but hopefully both coaches together can get it done.

I think the Texas v. Mexico HS football experiment is over.

My guess is the Mexico vs Us football experiment is done. I doubt many teams will be willing to risk scheduling MT in the future.

I'm hoping we get an opportunity to get a replacement game. Wimberly seems to be an option, and would certainly be a tough opponent for GP. WIn or lose, it would be a good test for us and hopefully for Wimberly as well.

I've heard rumors that you might be playing 20-25 years olds when you play Monterrey Tech! Anybody else heard these rumors?

There has been that concern. MT is a huge school, from what I understand it runs from about our 8th grade to junior college age, say around 20. There has been some concern that some of their players may be older, allthough I could not say for sure. They did play a little rough last year, but after the final whistle, they were very conginial, came over to our sidlines and joined with our guys singing the GP fight song and Alma Mater.

Well starting to look like this game is going to happen, except it"s looking like a nuetral site, Floresville stadium.
Both coaches working the phones as we speak to get it done.

Word I have is SAT early Saturday morning prevents a Friday night game because of the travel.
