It's not like anyone was expecting them to go 16-0.

coach said in post game interview they are going for xrays in the morning...

at one point, stephenville kicked a field goal, but hebron got called for roughing the kicker so stephenville would have had 1st and goal from about the 8yd line but stephenville declined it and took the points...eventually lost by 3....

I notice alot of the sportswriters in the DMN picking Hebron, so maybe Hebron is much better than you are giving them credit for. I mean, everybody knows what Stephenville has been doing this season, and they still picked Hebron. So, Just saying...

So, Just saying...Probably based their choice on the level of competition Stephenville had faced up until that game.:taunt:

I can't think of many situations where a coach should decline that penalty; especially in the first half.

Was the weather bad? This score looks odd.

They didn't even start until 9:00 and I think it was raining on and off throughout. It was a mess in DFW last year. Lots of delays and games played in a downpour.

Two rain delays. Kickoff was at 9:15. Lots of penalties and mistakes on both sides. Sloppy. Hebron is loaded with talent. Heard Edwards' injury is minor and was taken out for precaution more than anything else.

Edwards is out for the year. He broke his foot on the first series. He is going to see a foot specialist for a 2nd opinion to be sure. We also lost one of our WR last night #10 Sanchez to a broken hand as well.

The game started at 9:15 Sville received the ball and marched down to the Hebron 18 when the lightning siren went off and we had another 40 minute delay. When the teams came back out Edwards was on crutches and Sville had to kick a FG. There was a light rain the rest of the night and we had to try and throw the football with Edwards out. Hebron also lost their stud RB Dezmond Wortham early 3rd qtr.

It was a physical defensive slobber knocker. Hebron completed a 26 yard TD pass with 28 seconds left to win 10-6. The Hawks had a 10 play drive on the gaming winning TD that included a 4th and 16 conversion, a 3rd 12 conversion, and a 3rd and 19 conversion. One of our LB dropped an INT that hit him in the gut on their game winning drive. We had our chances but give them credit they made the plays at the end.

Man that sucks. I remember several years back when Brownwood had like 7 or 8 kids out due to injury. You guys seem to have just lost some of your best playmakers. I hope the get well soon.

If the rest of the players just keep playing like they have been they'll be fine for district. The hardest part is mental..forget about your biggest weapon being out and just step up to the plate..

they should be the first place team in the small school division, but will need him back to have a chance at beating aledo again in the regional finals...
