You guys are #7 in the Region. Not many people know much about Devine. It could be a curse or a blessing in disguise.

Well, who have yall played? What are your stats. If you aren't talking about your team, why should we?

Not hard to look them up. Devine may be good but their wins are not against quality teams, a combined 2-6. Maybe that's why no love yet.

EAGLE PASS WINN W 49-15 0-2
BANDERA W 63-38 1-2 Only win is against Llano
CORPUS CHRISTI WEST OSO W 61-18 1-2 Only win is against CC Moody

Agree. You may be the only one posting for your team WHJ. You guys are consistant every year. Surprised not more of you on here, especially with the great start to this year. Time to recruit some of your fellow Warhorse boosters.

My Wife grew up in Devine and would very much like for Ingleside and Devine to play each other. I have always thought that having a Warhorse as a mascot was very unique and kick-a$$.

Devine lost in OT to Cuero in bi-district last year on a play at the goal line. Many thought the Devine kid scored the two point conversion for the win but was ruled down short of the goal. Same rb, Joseph Sadler has run for over 700 yards in 3 games this season.

I saw the tapes on their rb, very impressive. They are a region 4 team. We are region 2. That team might be trouble to knock off.

even the girls teams have a cool nickname/mascot- the Arabians.

Devine is good team, and J Sadler is a stud. But in your district, I think Hondo is the team to beat. Having watched both the Hondo and Devine games againt Bandera, Hondo is more balanced. They can run or pass depending on what their opponent is doing. Their defense is swarming. Bandera had over 500 yds of offense against Devine, and probably half that against Hondo. If a team stops Devines running attack they will struggle to score. Hondo has just about completed the cross by defeating Bandera to the north, Medina Valley (4a) to the east, and Uvalde(4a) to the west. All that is left is Devine to the south. I also know you can just about throw out win-loss records when Devine and Hondo play, so I'm not discounting Devine completley. I've been to a few and they are usually thrillers.

So are the Owls on a crusade to beat the Warhorses? Fascinating stuff. Funny analogy. I'll still root for Hondo... because we played them.

Devine is starting to get their love. #3 or 4 in the region depending on who you ask, only behind 3 other undefeated teams (Wimberley, Columbia, Gonzales), 2 of which are the defending reg 4 champs (Columbia/Wimberley)... so

To be the best, you gotta beat the best. Devine should have a good test this week.
