Yeah, Crockett is the real deal as far as 2A is concerned. Wheeler is something special. I think Coldspring wears them down and wins though. This will set up the Coldspring/Orangefield game im gonna come see next week.

last year he ran for 238 yds on 20 carries....only cummings running for 256 yds saved us (gilbert wasnt back yet)...sure wanna see if he can do those numbers again on this defense, cause nobody ran on us like that after that game last year....

Wheeler won't rush for those numbers this year. Early last year he was forced to play QB due to injuries to the top two QBs.

But they will get him the ball somehow, mostly on screens and fly patterns.. Maybe a few Jets.

One thing to think about is I'd think that Coldspring is a lot better than Rusk. Rusk gave Crockett fits.

I would think Coldspring is better than Pine Tree and Mt Pleasant who moved the ball with ease on the mighty Lion.

whats obvious in the first two games is barbay is REALLY keeping gilbert to minimal exposure, no doubt hoping for another long run this year...he could have some monster numbers so far yet has, for the most part, run off direction routes, dragging lbs and dbs off with him so his teammates have more open holes to run thru....other backs have averaged over 40 carries/game......

the livingston fm station carries the livingston game and their am station below has started carrying the coldspring games this year....i have no idea who the announcers are and they truly get lost in the middle of a play, but it beats the nothing weve always had before this year....

biggest positive from the madisonville game is we might have accidentally found a kicker....he went 3 for 3 in that game....i cant remember the last time we went 3 for 3 on xtra points in a game....well start praying for field goals after we get rain......:inlove:

something happened tonight, cant figure out what, but good old warm and fuzzy, mr dont run up the score barbay wasnt so warm and fuzzy it seemed....maybe im wrong but that last play was REAL uncharacteristic from him.....im workin to dig up last years stats (i didnt go to that game) to see if any payback was at work.....

All I remember from last year was it was a shootout that was one point..maybe just one of those where the sub gets in and takes it to the house?

could be, but barbay takes a knee in those cases, plus when it happened there were reactions from everyone except him, plus the handshake after was a sure lukewarm one.....it wasnt a trickplay as some on other boards suggest, just a simple sweep by a backup....it was funny how a td quieted our side, we thought the game was over and were walking out.....but crockett wasnt set, was like they thought a knee was coming too....oh well.....
