This starting to get rediculous. Some subtle changes are great, but this is a disgrace.

For goodness sake, These two guys talking are on the same team.

+1. I think it is damn near disrespectful to the game. It is turning in to NBA basketball with all of the advertising...

Yeah, I agree. I seem to be one of the few that still prefers more traditional (but not really retro) uniforms for both college and NFL. Whats so wrong with making minor updates to reflect changing eras...while at the same time keeping each team instantly recognizable when flipping through channels?

while i dont like them, I dont see anything disrespectful..they are trying new things..some will stick, others wont

just like in the Boise St vs UGA game..for the most part I hated UGA's look..but I thought Boise State's look was sharp

I dont really like any of the changes but Marylands is hands down the worst I have ever seen. If I were the coach, I would not have let them take the field dressed like that.

I think teams do it to try and get a psychological advantage. The emotion it brought to the Maryland crowd was electric. They may be ugly or too wild for some, but let's face it, it jacks up the players

State Flag? Looks like it could also serve as a good picnic table cloth.

Yeah these are pretty bad. I'm all for teams trying new things, but man, these are out there.

I agree. When I saw part of their game, I thought they were hideous.

I have also learned the team's official colors of red, white, black, and gold have been in use in some combination since the 1920s and are taken from the state flag, and the nickname of the "Terrapins" (often abbreviated as "Terps") was adopted in 1933 after a turtle species native to the state.

This is much more than I ever wanted to know about Maryland.

Probably because Edison stole the idea of the light bulb from Nikola Tesla and many others..... :)

From CNN...throwing the flag, 15 yards for bad football fashion...lol. You can vote for the worst on their poll (Maryland has a strong lead).

OSU's new look isn't too bad. I think they did a pretty good job with them. http://www.collegiatestadiums.com/uploads/2011-oklahoma-state-uniform.jpg

Is it about the football game, and performance on the field?
Or, is it about a fashion show for NIKE and UA?

You make the choice...... College Football = $$$$$$$$$$

Schools like Boise, Maryland, TCU, Utah, etc etc wear the uniforms year after year because they need the money from Nike and they need people to look at them. They aren't messing with "tradition" because there isn't any tradition.

I prefer the looks of Texas, Alabama, LSU, OU, Nebraska, USC.....IF and ONLY IF they do wear different uni's they're actual throwbacks not futuristic crap that looks like it's designed by some 9 year old playing a video game.

I thought the Maryland Unis were cool looking.

And ... I can't wait to see Nike's response to Under Armor. Rumor has it that Nike R&D has perfected the Saggin' football pant. :D
