I know this is not sports related but I know most of you are on this forum.

My daughter and her family has been evacuated from her home in Austin Lake Travis. Fire on both sides.She lives right on the dam between Lake Austin and Lake Travis just above the low water crossing. Many homes already burned. I hope to hear where they are soon. My grandsons are 1 and 6. They must be terrified. Bonnie said "Momma I've never seen anything like this".

My friends roommate lost her home in Bastrop earlier this afternoon. Scary stuff going on today. Praying for all affected

The fire at Stieiner Ranch and Mansfield close to the dam involves 300 to 400 acres according to the news station.
This is only 2 to 3 miles from Bonnies home.

The fires in Cameron damaged 5 buildings from 15 to 18 1/2 st. Our house is on 18th but luckily no damage was done. I can smell the smoke in San Marcos right now. Hope everyone is safe

The latest word here is that they got it contained. I didn't go out to see what was going on or how bad it was, because I figure there are usually enough rubber-neckers doing that.

Or call their office tomorrow at 979-968-8931. They are not in their office today.

New fire breaks out by Leander High School north of Austin. 200 families on Baghdad Rd urged to evacuate.
