Some thoughts from this game. Ratliff is in a different league from anyone else on the field. Grahams defensive offsides penalties were ridiculous. I bet there were at least 10! I do believe Graham is better than most thought before the game. There was a huge momentum shift when our starting QB went down at the end of the 1st half and things went south in a hurry. I do give them alot of credit for trying to make a come back, but when you let 15 seconds tick off the clock at the end of the game before you decide to call a timeout you didnt even give the boys a chance to get the ball back. Not sure what in the heck was going on there.

I think most wins this early in the season are ugly in a lot of ways. So take it and be happy! Ours was semi-ugly too...lots of work to do as well.

Deuce, you have some good points on the game. Ratliff is a player! The Brownwoods linebackers are hauses. Receivers need more experience. DB's will have to step up next week big time! I have to give Graham some credit too. Graham is a good team! They came to play and have some talent. Their Oline was big and could move the LOS. Running back was tough. Graham's #33 was above average when he got the ball. QB needs more experience. Once he settled down, he made some good throughs. I'll say this. When I saw Shipley take his head set off in the 4th quarter and put the 2's in, I knew Graham would score at least 2 more TD's and they did.

Glad to take the win, but a lot of holes to fill, wow! Graham is a pretty good team just in the fact that the kids never gave up. No excuses. A lot of talent on the field, just not a lot of discipline by either team shown last night, sloppy to say the least. If these kids can pull it together, and I think both can, we might get to play for real.....good luck to the Steers and thanks to the Lions for pulling out another win!
