Region II- Luke Tuner... By far best in this region. Barnes at Henderson is pretty darn good also.

Kennan Ward from Snyder can do it with his feet. I'm waiting to see how good he is everywhere else. He's an athlete for sure though.

It's pains me to say this but Region 1 has to be Ward from Snyder.

Clarification: I put up only the best ones I know about. All of you can let us know your opinion and I'm sure some good discussion will ensue.

Hard to argue with 2500 passing, 1500 rushing... 40 something TDs that Turner produces... He could very well get 2000 passing, 2000 rushing this year. I just hope he sucks this week.

Region 4:

Cuero got a transfer from Dallas in. Not sure if he is able to play yet or not. But, he could be what the Gob's are lacking early, when he is able to play.

It's pains me to say this but Region 1 has to be Ward from Snyder. If it was athlete by region then yes I would say he is the best in region I. However, this is QB, and to me Ward is a good QB but not what I would call the "best QB in the region."

Tristen is playing/starting as a soph and did pretty darn good for a freshman on varsity last year. Looking forward to see what he can do this year.

Jeff Harrison, Yoakum

Wow!! Really??? Not even the best QB in the district. Lambert is hands down the best QB in the Region. Typical homer vote

Brady Lambert at Wimberley has good combination of speed and toughness when running the ball and can deliver a pass as well. Good dual threat QB.

LOL, Turner is good. He actually had 25 passing TDs, and 27 rushing TDs (52 total) last year. The only problem he had last year was his decision-making. He won't have that problem this year I don't think. It's VERY possible Luke Turner could have 2000/2000 with over 50 TDs, and less than 10 TOs. At this point, and not knowing Evans, Austin Aune was the best I saw last year, that was not a senior anyways. This year will be neck and neck with Turner, Aune, Evans, and Barnes. They all have completely different playing styles, so it'll be hard to say who the best is. I am plenty happy with Turner, though, LOL! He is not only a good passer in the pocket, but he is also just as good on the run, AND he is a good rusher. BTW, he also can boom punts in the 50+ yard range, kickoff into the endzone, and is one helluva linebacker and receiver (although he won't be playing receiver). Luke Turner is one of the most complete players I've seen in a while. He kind of reminds me of Liberty-Eylau's Middlebrooks from '06, except Luke runs better.

I have heard Traylor say that Luke is a Pro Kicker...he should continue down that path and sign for a million / year and kick 'til he is 50. It is unreal how he does that running soccer poocher...ask Atlanta...dead on the 1, and it was not luck.
