The Bulldogs will bring their usual strong rushing attack. The Bulls will counter with a balanced run-pass game and should win by 10+. I don't think the Bulldogs can put up enough points fast enough to stay ahead of the Bulls on the scoreboard. This one will go to the "D" that makes the most drive stoppers.

Trust me on this, they don't have the defense to keep up with THE BULLS plus they switched to a spread offense this year and went from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 so I doubt they have it all down yet. We'll cruise in this one no problem!:cheerl:

Did I understand that the Bull QB Mahon tied the single game passing touchdown record last week? I think Philip had the record with 6 and Mahon tied him? Can someone confirm?

That's what I'm hearing, too, slpy, from unofficial sources. Maybe I can verify it with Danny on Friday.

I will have to say Bridgeport wins as well. Great offense and good defense. Wouldnt be surprised to see them win the district outright!

Hadn't realized that Burk had gone to the spread. They may be tougher to defense this game. Hope they don't have the players to make their spread go and light-up the scoreboard quickly...

Very interesting to hear about the record last week. I think all the records are published in the program this year. Good job Mr. Mahon!

Hope they don't have the players to make their spread go and light-up the scoreboard quickly... heard from some boys that burks RB gave his verbal to baylor. any D1 RB in 3a is hard to stop, but in a spread offense i think it makes it more difficult. anyways, this game should be high scoring and fun to watch.

Heard today that Burk has some speed and spreads the field well. The Burk RB is faster than Huerta. Shaping up to be another shootout---but the Bulls are tough to beat in a shootout. Go Bulls!

Holy smoke! Another shootout this week with the Bulls coming out on top 51-36. The Burk team had some good looking athletes--many 6ft + who could run like greyhounds and their new spread offense makes them alnost impossible to stop. They are going to score a ton of points this season. Best of luck to the Bulldogs.


The Bulls continue with a barnburner offense averaging 51 pts. per game. Colby Mahon has thrown for 714yds and 11 TD's in the first two weeks of the season. Good job by all the Bulls, but we need to continue to work on holding teams to less yards on defense. Sure hope one our top WR- Mullins-R #9 does not have a serious ankle injury.
