Not so sold on that either. Last season, we didn't get any respect either and that was coming of a 42-35 loss to Div I champion Gilmer in the Reg III final.

We have a playoff it will be alright. As for Alvarado they beat Wylie last year and only lost to state champs Henderson by 7 in the D1 semi finals and return their best players.

Carthage will rise or fall this week. They play a very good Lindale team. If they win close , they stay the same, if they win big, they move up. If they win both this week and next week against Chapell Hill, I see a four pete for the Dawgs.

I have said that before after they have lost a couple of games and you see what happened. They dominated Jacksonville and had the second team in middle of third quarter. I just think this game will show where they are at this early in the season.

Good point Cowboy. There are a lot of those "gut check" games in the next couple of weeks for several noted contenders. Starting week 3, we should have a better picture of who the favorites are.
