Somebody help me out here. Last season Rocket was all about the superiority of the spread offense in winning over all other facets of the game---this season he says it's the defense that wins championships---I'm confused....

Offensively, if you have a skilled spread offense team, you can do major damage in 3A. That was my argument. If you don't have a solid defense, it is for nothing. See 2008 Brownwood. 2010 Brownwood's defense was great. They made stops and my goodness, the int's were unbelievable. 30???

Yea, I can remember a few calls going against us. That QB past the line of scrimmage call was a doozy. Didn't stop us, but I hear good teams overcome bad officiating.

Nevermind this guy, Beast. Most people like this are ignoring the fact that Brownwood 2010 is quite possibly one of the Top 3 teams in 3A history. He probably didn't see Brownwood play one time last year. He is the definition of ignorance.

People are so funny to me. You think the best team always wins? Only idiots think that. A team that isn't as good can win a game. Happens all the time. You got your one win, we got our season. And nothing will ever take that away. When 2010 is talked about, Brownwood is the story, not Carthage. You got your third trophy though. Congrats. Call us when you get 4 more.

The only argument these boneheads have is when was the last time? The funny thing is it has been since 1981 and they still haven't caught up. LOL How much more time do you need? Celina did most of their's in 2A (that don't count - only 3A and above are relevant here and take away the Class B False Title). If it's so dang easy, Carthage should have 15 by now...nope.

No they won't. Begrudgingly Carthage has all the bragging rights the last few years. Their accomplishments are impressive. Brownwood, despite Rockets drivel, have bordered on mediocrity. Great team last year but I should remind those with short memories "seis y siete". Talk all you want about last year Rocket but I think only two teams have the bragging rights. Carhage earned it (along with Henderson)...you should give credit where credit is due.

Last season, there wasn't another team better than Brownwood. There was a team that beat Brownwood with the help of some refs. There ya go. Summed it up.
