Snyder vs Monahans - Thoughts and Predictions

Have not seen either personally. Just going by the history of the 2, I'll say

I'm thinking Snyder is the better team, more experienced. Monahans will have some success but I think snyder comes away with the win.

Snyder is the favorite of course. But, after know more about Monahans and their system, I wouldn't be surprised to see Monahans win this one. If the Loboe's are able to hold their main weapon in check, it's going to be a long night for the Tigres!

Snyder hasn't looked great in their two scrimmages but teams with running QB's sometimes dont always look great because they are protecting their investment...I think the reins being taken off Ward will help open things up...

Monahans' offense looked decent and the defense looked solid in the scrimmage at Wylie. If Snyder is as one-dimensional as some are saying, I like Monahans' chances.

This has been Rogers MO since he's been in Snyder. Not sure how he fared in NM. But, I think Snyder will pull this one out and win 35-21. Check that. Rogers will go for two a few times no matter what the score is. Make it 36-21.

This game is the Fox SW / Dairy Queen Game of the Week. Film crews will be conducting interviews, filming the pep rally & then they will be at the Dairy Queen. They will film some of the game for use on their Scoreboard Show.

Not necessarily..Actually those 2 season Snyder was the better team...They just came into the 1st game Higher ranked and favored with Big Heads..They just got their tails handed to them by a mediocre Monahans team..Second time they were just ready not improved..

Snyder was supposed to be All World last year (61-20 ahem) and dropped their first game against Monahans... They have a lot to prove to me after supposedly being so great last season and not winning 1 big game the whole season. Think about it... They got beat twice by Monahans last year and totally destroyed by Brownwood. 3 big games and no wins. They did beat some teams last year, but nobody ranked. Basically, Snyder hasn't been good since 2008 and they were a 1 horse show then too... Ward is a great athlete, but Vacarro beat him in the 100 straight up..sooooo...

Looking forward to this one. Yes, keenon is a beast on the field and can beat alot of ways, but you can't just focus on him. Got some good players in the backfield to watch out for and bringing some good experience back and speed in the secondary. Always a good early test. The tigers will get it started right this year.

Those 2 times are literally the only times Snyder has beaten Monahans during the Owens era, playoffs and regular season.

I don't think this is such a big shocker. Monahans has a top program year in and year out. I do not think that this says anything bad about Snyder. It should make them stronger if it exposed problems that can be corrected. Thats what these games are for. I think Shipley is at his desk right now trying to fix somethings he saw last night.
